Why Buy Our Farm Fresh Eggs?

With so many egg options available to us in the store, why in the world would you want to buy our local farm fresh eggs?

Well, I can’t speak to other farms, but at Mountain View Acres… our chickens are downright spoiled!  So often when we are referring to our girls, we refer to them as divas!  Our ladies get the best of the best food. 

Their bellies are filled with organic grain free, soy free feed, a mix of whole grains, fermented feed AND some very nutritious snacks such as sprouted wheat grass, grass fed organ meats and yummy fish!

 

In addition to all of the above, they get supplements added to their water, their coop is cleaned weekly (sometimes more with this crazy weather we have had in California) and they get to free range all day in the sun, eating lots of bugs and dust bathing beneath beautiful fruit trees!

Can we say SPOILED??

So what does this mean for the eggs that you purchase?  It means nice calcium rich shells (google making your own calcium powder!), beautiful dark yolks and an all around nutrient dense meal for you and your family!

Eggs are one of the most nutritious meals we can eat, full of B vitamins, vitamin D (yep!), selenium and iodine.  

Isn’t God just the best?!

Did you know that when you supplement with iodine you should also supplement with selenium?  Do you see what God did there?  He put all of these incredible ingredients together in one beautiful little package!  Absolutely amazing!
